d’incise—Incendies
Concert
Incendies is a piece that sings the jolts of a battery-powered world. Just as one watches a fire with fascination—its beauty and destructive force intertwined—one too can listen to analog signals enriched with saturation, giving birth to the space created inside a stereophony. Or reflect on the carbon footprint of the same action. For your information: the number of megafires is projected to increase by 30% by 2050, according to a report from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), which also points to urban noise pollution as an escalating threat to public health.
d’incise is an experimental musician, a member of La Tène, and the founder of Insub. nebula. When not working under his Tresque alias, creating dance-oriented music, or collaborating with other artists, he focuses on his solo work. Recently, he has re-focused on analog electronic sources, carefully recording and reassembling them as music for loudspeakers. In his obsessive explorations of simple processes, he is forming a distinct voice that is both radical and minimalist.
